Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), New Delhi, has launched a 40-hour Certified Mediation Training Programme to equip legal professionals, students, and interested individuals with advanced skills in mediation. The training will run at the university’s Dwarka campus from 10 AM to 5 PM, with a fee of ₹6,500, making it both affordable and accessible.
Unlike traditional legal courses, the program combines international best practices with the evolving Indian legal framework. With this initiative, GGSIPU aims to strengthen alternative dispute resolution (ADR) skills in India.
What the Programme Offers
The curriculum delivers both theory and practice. Participants will study the fundamentals of conflict resolution, stages of the mediation process, and the role of mediators. They will also practice essential communication techniques, negotiation strategies, and methods for drafting enforceable settlement agreements. The course further covers the latest updates under the Mediation Act, 2023, while stressing ethics, confidentiality, and global trends.
After completing the programme, participants receive an official certificate that helps them enter India’s rapidly growing mediation profession. As courts continue to face a huge backlog of cases, the demand for skilled mediators is rising. Mediation offers a faster, cost-effective, and collaborative way to resolve disputes, and GGSIPU’s training directly responds to this need.
Applications are open now. Interested candidates can view the official notification and register through the GGSIPU website or contact the university’s administrative office. Since seats are limited, the university encourages early registration.
Through this programme, GGSIPU shows its commitment to advancing legal education and preparing a new generation of ADR experts in India.
