New Delhi, August 26, 2025 – Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) released the official notification for the Special Round of Offline Counselling for B.Tech programmes in the academic session 2025-26. The University will conduct this round through JEE Mains Paper-I (NLT Exam) to fill vacant seats left after earlier counselling rounds.

The counselling takes place from August 30 to September 14, 2025 at the C-Block Seminar Hall, Dwarka Campus, GGSIPU.

Who Can Participate?

The University clearly stated that only “Not Admitted” candidates can join this round. Eligible candidates include:

  • Those who did not receive a seat in earlier rounds.

  • Those who withdrew admission through the official online process before August 25, 2025.

  • Those not holding seats in the same programme they wish to apply for.

The University will not allow students admitted through the Management Quota in affiliated institutes to participate.

Required Documents

Candidates must bring the following documents when attending offline counselling:

  • A Demand Draft (DD) of ₹2,500 (non-refundable application fee) in favour of Registrar, GGSIPU, payable at Delhi, for those who did not register earlier for Programme Code 131.

  • A Demand Draft of ₹96,000 towards part academic fee, also in favour of Registrar, GGSIPU. Candidates should write their name, admission date, mobile number, programme, CET rank, and CET application number on the back of the draft.

  • Admission Verification Form (Appendix 6) and Preference Sheet (Appendix 11A) from the Admission Brochure 2025-26.

  • Four passport-size photographs.

  • CET Rank Card/Admit Card 2025 and NLT Score/Rank Card with Admit Card 2025.

  • Online Registration Form 2025 and CUET Registration Form 2025 (if applicable).

  • 10th Class Certificate (proof of date of birth).

  • Original and photocopies of 12th or qualifying exam mark-sheets/certificates.

  • Physical Fitness Certificate (Appendix 5).

  • Conduct and Character Certificate (issued within six months).

Important Note:-The University clarified that candidates cannot adjust fees paid during online counselling in this round. Authorities will process refunds for earlier payments separately.

Counselling Schedule

The counselling will run in multiple sessions according to All India Rank in JEE Mains Paper-I. Each day has two slots: 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

  • August 30 – September 4: Candidates with ranks 1 to 400,000.

  • September 6 – September 10: Candidates with ranks 400,001 to 800,000.

  • September 11 – September 14: Candidates with ranks 800,001 onwards.

  • September 14 (2:00 p.m.): Final session for candidates ranked 1,400,001 and above.

Key Guidelines for Counselling

  • Merit-Based Allotment: GGSIPU will allot seats strictly on merit while following cutoffs and capping norms from earlier rounds.

  • No Change of College: Once you receive a college, you cannot request a change.

  • Physical Presence Required: Candidates must attend in person. Only medical cases will receive exceptions.

  • Eligibility Check: Students must confirm that they meet the eligibility criteria before seeking admission.

Purpose of the Special Round

GGSIPU introduced this round to help candidates who missed earlier chances. By holding the process offline, the University aims to provide one final opportunity to fill vacant seats before the academic session starts. Moreover, this step ensures transparency and benefits thousands of students still waiting for admission.
