New Delhi, August 26, 2025 – Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has released the schedule for the Special Round of GGSIPU offline counselling for the 2025–26 academic session. This round applies to vacant seats in select programmes and the University will conduct it for students with a “Not Admitted” status. The counselling will take place from September 1 to September 14, 2025 at the University’s Dwarka Campus.
The special round covers six programmes: BA English, BA Economics, B.Sc. Yoga, BHMCT, B.Com (Hons.), and LE B.Tech. Only candidates who do not hold a seat as of August 25, 2025, or who withdrew through the official mode before that date, may participate. However, students admitted under the Management Quota in affiliated colleges cannot apply.
Documents and Counselling Guidelines
Candidates attending the GGSIPU offline counselling must bring original documents, photocopies, and a bank draft of ₹96,000 in favour of the Registrar, GGSIPU, payable at Delhi. They must write their name, CET rank, application number, and contact details on the back of the draft. Other required documents include the Admission Verification Form, Preference Sheet, photographs, CET/CUET/NLT admit cards, mark sheets, fitness and character certificates, and Class 10 proof of birth date. Students must also pay the balance fee directly at the allotted institute.
The University will allot seats on an All India Merit basis, giving priority to CET and NLT candidates. If seats remain vacant, CUET candidates will get them based on merit. Since the process is offline, candidates must appear in person, except in cases of medical emergencies. Once allotted, colleges cannot be changed, and the University will ensure that admissions follow merit order and earlier seat capping.
The programme schedule runs from September 1 to September 13, with BA English and B.Com (Hons.) beginning early, followed by BA Economics, B.Sc. Yoga, BHMCT, and LE B.Tech. The University will conduct counselling at the C-Block and E-Block Seminar Halls in the Dwarka Campus.
This GGSIPU offline counselling round gives a final opportunity to candidates who missed earlier online admissions. It allows direct participation and ensures the University fills all vacant seats before the session begins. The University has advised students to check www.ipu.ac.in and https://ipu.admissions.nic.in regularly for updates and to come prepared with documents and drafts to avoid last-minute issues.
