University of Delhi Announces On-the-Spot Mop-Up Admission Round for UG Seats Based on Class XII Marks

The main brick entrance gate of University of Delhi stands under a partly cloudy sky, with students walking nearby, symbolizing campus activity. Across the bottom, a yellow banner displays bold brown text: "University of Delhi Announces On-the-Spot Mop-Up Admission Round for UG Seats Based on Class XII Marks," highlighting opportunities for undergraduate admissions with direct merit-based entry. The Career Plan B logo appears at the top left, associating the image with reliable college admission updates.

The University of Delhi has launched a special On-the-Spot Mop-Up Admission Round in physical mode for vacant undergraduate seats after DU Mop-up Round 1. This initiative gives eligible candidates a final chance to secure admission in Delhi University’s UG programs for the 2025-26 session. Unlike earlier rounds, this round relies only on Class XII or equivalent marks, not CUET scores.

What Is the On-the-Spot DU Mop Up Round?

This round covers all UG seats left unfilled after earlier rounds. Admission depends strictly on Class XII merit, following program-specific eligibility criteria from the official Information Bulletin. Since CUET scores are not needed, the process becomes simpler and more accessible.

Registration Process & Key Dates

  • Vacant Seats List: The admissions website will display available colleges and programs.

  • Who Can Register:

    • Registered candidates who have not been admitted yet can log in to their dashboard and apply via the Mop-Up tab.

    • Fresh candidates who did not register earlier on the CSAS(UG)-2025 portal can also apply.

  • Fee: Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of ₹1,000, in addition to the regular registration fee.

  • Registration Window: September 17, 2025 (5:00 PM) to September 19, 2025 (11:59 PM).

  • Who Cannot Register: Students already admitted to any DU college or program cannot apply.

Admission and Allocation

  • Physical Mode Process: Shortlisted candidates will get an email invitation. They must report in person at the given venue and time. Representatives will not receive entry.

  • Timeline: Admissions begin on September 23, 2025.

  • Spot Payment: Candidates must pay the admission fee online immediately after seat allotment. If they fail to pay, the seat will move to the next candidate in the merit list.

  • Finality: Once allotted, seats cannot be upgraded or withdrawn.

Required Documents for DU Mop Up Round

Candidates should carry originals and self-attested copies of:

  • Invitation Letter

  • CSAS(UG) Form printout

  • Class XII marksheet and certificate

  • Class X marksheet or birth certificate

  • Government-issued ID (Aadhar, Passport, etc.)

  • Reservation/Category certificate (if applicable)

Advisory and Instructions

To avoid last-minute issues, candidates should:

  • Keep sufficient balance in their bank accounts for immediate fee payment.

  • Check emails regularly for updates and invitations.

  • Use Delhi Metro’s Yellow Line for easy access to Vishwavidyalaya Metro Station.

  • Note that only the candidate and up to two guardians will receive entry.

Important Notes

  • The university will not accept incomplete documents. Candidates must submit all required documents during reporting.

  • Supernumerary quota seats remain closed for this round, except under the PwBD category.

  • Participation in the mop-up does not ensure admission; candidates must meet all requirements.

  • Delhi University’s Admission Branch will monitor compliance and conduct audits to maintain transparency.

This last-chance round opens a significant window for candidates who missed out in previous selections, making the prestigious DU experience accessible through Class XII marks alone for 2025-26.
