Women’s Polytechnic College, Puducherry

The Women’s Polytechnic College, Puducherry, has been set up in the year 1988 to impart technical education to female students with high spirit. This affiliated college is situated in Lawspet, Puducherry and is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Four diploma programmes across different disciplines of engineering are provided at the institute; the aggregate student intake capacity is 380. The faculty strength of the college is forty-five members which in turn give the student a better ratio to the teacher. Education of women is the institution’s way of empowering ladies in the field of technology as a result of its selective nature.

The Women’s Polytechnic College at Puducherry has four full-time diploma courses which take a period of three years each. These programmes focus on aspects such as Architectural Assistantship, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. Every course is in taked for 60 students under each department and the overall number of seats come to 240.
