Vishwaniketan’s Institute of Management Entrepreneurship and Engineering Technology (VIMEET), established in 2013, is a prominent educational institution located in Khalapur, Maharashtra. Vishwaniketan’s Institute of Management Entrepreneurship and Engineering Technology  is well endowed with facilities to enrich the learning process of its students. There are well-equipped laboratories that provide hands-on training in different engineering disciplines associated with automobile engines, assemblies, and electric/solar vehicles. The knowledge resource centre, more commonly referred to as the library, is a powerhouse of knowledge with over 10,000 books, national and international periodicals, and online journals. These are further supplemented by institutional membership with British Council Library and the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. The campus has all modern facilities, including separate boy’s and girl’s hostels, a health centre, gym, sports facilities, and a canteen. For flawless connectivity, campus-wide Wi-Fi access has been provided with a robust 50 Mbps internet connection.

The Institute offers a full range of programmes in Engineering, all full time four year B. Tech. Degrees. VIMEET offers currently six B. Tech. programmes in a different branches of engineering. The total approved intake of all courses put together is 360 seats, which again proves the institute’s commitment to quality education but still accommodate a substantial number of students. VIMEET’s total number of graduates in this latest academic year reflects its contribution to the engineering workforce with 1,134 graduates.

VIMEET is designing a fair and comprehensive admission process so that meritorious students get a chance to fulfil their engineering dreams. The institute accepts scores of two major entrance examinations: the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). These exams serve as gateways for aspiring engineers to secure admission to VIMEET’s various B.Tech programmes. 

VIMEET strives to provide diversity and inclusiveness to all its students. The gender ratio of this institute comes out to be 4:1, which is male to female, with 888 boys and 246 girls. Vishwaniketan Institute of Management Entrepreneurship and Engineering Technology (VIMEET), Khalapur, has a well-laid admission process for desirous engineers. The admission process at VIMEET attempts to lure meritorious applicants into joining the engineering programs. Candidates seeking admission to the institute have the option of submitting their admission entrance exam scores for the two national examinations of great significance: JEE Main and MHT CET. These two examinations stand as gateways for the aspirants choosing to pursue a B.Tech program in VIMEET.

For JEE Main, the new cycle of examinations begins with the release of city intimation slip on January 2, 2025. The MHT CET has scheduled the exam for the PCB group on April 9, 2025. Students have to read between the lines. The remaining requirements for admission consideration at VIMEET usually include the passing of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the necessary subjects. 

Application Process

The process of getting into the various B. Tech programs offered by VIMEET entails the following steps. 

1. Qualifying by one of these two examinations: JEE Main or MHT CET.

2. For JEE Main:

  • Register for the exam as per the announced schedule of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Appear for the computer-based test on the date assigned.
  • Wait for the results and counseling to begin.

3. For MHT CET:

  • Register for the MHT CET examination through the official portal of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
  • Attend the online examination on the scheduled date (April 9, 2025, for the PCB Group).
  • Wait for the results and counseling thereafter.

4. After the declaration of entrance exam results, eligible candidates will be called to participate in a centralized admission procedure organized by the competent authority in Maharashtra.

5. During counseling, one will be asked to fill in the college preference form that includes VIMEET and desired B.Tech programs.

6. Should you be allotted a seat in VIMEET, it would require you to personally visit the institute for the document verification and admission processes.

7. Most of the documents to be submitted are as follows:

  • Class X and class XII mark sheets and passing certificates
  • JEE Main/MHT CET score card
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other documents as per requirements laid down either by the institute or the admission authority

8. Finally, pay the admission fees to book your seat.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech: VIMEET offers six B.Tech programs-Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning-among which entry is determined by your performance in JEE Main or MHT CET. The approved intake for most programs is 60 seats each, except for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which has 120 seats.

The admission process at VIMEET attempts to lure meritorious applicants into joining the engineering programs. Candidates seeking admission to the institute have the option of submitting their admission entrance exam scores for the two national examinations of great significance: JEE Main and MHT CET. These two examinations stand as gateways for the aspirants choosing to pursue a B.Tech program in VIMEET.

For JEE Main, the new cycle of examinations begins with the release of city intimation slip on January 2, 2025. The MHT CET has scheduled the exam for the PCB group on April 9, 2025. Students have to read between the lines. The remaining requirements for admission consideration at VIMEET usually include the passing of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the necessary subjects. 

Application Process

The process of getting into the various B. Tech programs offered by VIMEET entails the following steps. 

1. Qualifying by one of these two examinations: JEE Main or MHT CET.

2. For JEE Main:

  • Register for the exam as per the announced schedule of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
  • Appear for the computer-based test on the date assigned.
  • Wait for the results and counseling to begin.

3. For MHT CET:

  • Register for the MHT CET examination through the official portal of the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra.
  • Attend the online examination on the scheduled date (April 9, 2025, for the PCB Group).
  • Wait for the results and counseling thereafter.

4. After the declaration of entrance exam results, eligible candidates will be called to participate in a centralized admission procedure organized by the competent authority in Maharashtra.

5. During counseling, one will be asked to fill in the college preference form that includes VIMEET and desired B.Tech programs.

6. Should you be allotted a seat in VIMEET, it would require you to personally visit the institute for the document verification and admission processes.
