UDHAYAM Polytechnic College Library is a very vast library. It has been allocated at a well-centered position on the college campus so that it should be accessible to all easily. The library at the institute has the following sections: 1. Book Section cum Main Reading Hall. 2. Xeroxing section. 3. Internet section. 4. Magazine and Journal’s Reading section. The primary aim of the library is to support the institution's students in education. The collection library includes Books, Journals, Magazines, Project reports, Question banks, Newspaper backfiles, and other richest collections in the Fields of Management Studies, Science, and Technologies.

Well-equipped Laboratories are used and facilitated under expert guidance.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The College's Purpose of organized physical education, sports, and games activities is to create an environment that stimulates selected movement experiences resulting in undesirable responses that contribute to the optimal development of individuals in all the phases of life. In this direction, to organize and conduct various activities, the Sports and Games Committee is formed with the following objectives: 1. To help students achieve a health-enhancing life of physical activity. 2., To help students understand and respect individual differences among people in physical settings. 3. To provide a safe physical environment. 4. To provide students with various activities that will enhance alumni learning and participation. 5. To develop superior individual/team skills and processes. 6. To promote physical excellence.

The Alumni is a generic term that describes all those who have spent time studying at a particular institution. It is a lifetime relationship with continued interest, interaction, and involvement with one’s Alma mater. Alumni stand strong to prove the success of the college and its efforts. The alumni association of Idhayam Polytechnic College was started with the motive of bringing together all the alumni, sharing the experiences they faced outside the college, and also extending their helping hands from all aspects to the budding engineers of the college. GEC Alumni Association organizes various technical seminars/guest lectures and motivates and guides students for their academic improvement. 1. To bring together all the old students and the faculty of Idhayam Polytechnic College to share their experiences. 2. To maintain and update the database of all the alumni of the college and to interact with them.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a health center with a student first aid facility.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The Placement Cell in UPTC was established in 2012. Since its inception, the Placement Cell has played a pivotal role in creating the linkage between industry and college.

Academic guidance

Class tutors monitor each class and maintain discipline. The tutor assumes the role of facilitator to ensure “Lifelong learning” in the student. They are highly qualified, research-oriented, and well-trained in modern methods of teaching. They keep themselves updated with the latest in their respective fields. They identify the weak students and arrange special coaching classes after college hours. We have counselors (tutors) to counsel personal, social, and academic difficulties. The total strength of the college is equally divided so that each counselor has to counsel twenty students.

Internal  and model exams

Two Internal Assessment examinations and three model examinations are conducted compulsorily by the exam cell every semester as per the schedule mentioned in the calendar. In addition to the above, five unit tests are performed at the department level to enhance academic performance. The dates of tests will remain unchanged unless under unforeseen circumstances. The students are required to prepare well in advance for these exams to achieve academic excellence.

Industrial training

Since technical education emphasizes the skill and competencies of pass-outs, the students are advised to undergo industrial training during the vacations after the semester exams from the third semester. The polytechnic authorities will provide assistance and support for such activities. Students may undergo short training and prepare a report of the same. outstanding activities and involvement in the industrial training will be recognized during annual day celebrations.

Language laboratory

A Language laboratory has been set up in the polytechnic to enhance language and communication skills. Students interested in the development of their language may utilize this facility
