Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Ashram Teachers Training College, Hazaribagh

The Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Ashram Teachers Training College of Hazaribagh, Jharkhand is a reputed college for preparation of teachers of the future. Set up in the year 2012 this co-educational college has emerged to be very relevant in the area of concern that is teacher education. Approved by National Council of Teacher Education(NCTE) & NAAC accredited, the college functions as an an affiliated college. 

Located on just over 40,000 Square feet of land, it provides an intimate atmosphere for its 200 students that are currently registered in the institution. The college has 16 dedicated faculty members which includes lecturers and professors Most of the classes are small and the student to teacher ratio is good thus improving quality delivery. The college has a set of instructional resources to improve the learning process and personal growth of the students. A bright library is a center of accumulated and constantly replenished knowledge; bio science, physical science, educational technology, psychology, and social science laboratories are additional learning facilities.  That this institution strives to offer a quality education is also manifested in some of the amenities provided especially in the docket of safe and sports where the institutions provide for both indoor and outdoor facilities. A hall with a functionality of accommodating 200 students is used for different activities and seminars for one academic year. For those students who need it, the college has hostels for boys and girls with facilities for mess, accommodation and extra coaching classes etc. The campus also boasts in having a canteen, IT facilities that consist of 15 computers installed and the transport facilities for the day scholars.

Sri Ramakrishna Sarada Ashram Teachers Training College currently offers two full-time courses: B.ED and D.EL.ED., Bachelor of Education and Diploma for Elementary Education. The programs themselves are Two years in duration with an intake of one hundred students each per course and two hundred total students for the entire program in all the courses offered. As proposed, these programs help prepare students who wish to become teachers so that they can serve effectively when in classroom.

The college operates under the admission standards to set up by the Jharkhand state government and the university to which it is affiliated to. For the B. Ed program, admission is usually done on merit or through any other norm prescribed by the state affiliation or the University.  Likewise, for the D.El.Ed program admission will be provided on meritorious basis, solely on the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination or any other test as may be announced by the State Government or UT Administration.
