Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib College of Nursing is borne at SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, in the year 2006. This one I am citing is a prestigious and oldest nursing education institution located in sec 48 b, Chandigarh India established in 2000. It is a nursing college located in a 7-acre campus, and focusing on four individualised nursing programmes and recognised by the INC. The institute follows a policy of an appropriate student to teacher ratio with total student intake of 320 and the faculty strength of 34. The college offers different full time courses in nursing such as B.Sc Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, G N M and A N M, to meet the full nursing education requirement.

Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib College of Nursing has various state of the art infrastructures that are conducive for learning forming a right learning environment for students of the institute. The college library acts as a contingency centre where students will find a wealth of publications relative to nursing. To support the academics and co-curricular activities the college has a spacious auditorium facility. Local accommodation is adequate and eateries are available on campus forStudents purchasing from the cafeteria. The college also has provision for preparation of guest house for the visiting faculty and a waiting lounge for the families of the students during their visit. Arrangement of social requirement is given importance with a medical centre having first aid amenities. The institute is indeed focused on the modern style of education – it has developed a brilliant IT support and valuable resources that help the students to know the most contemporary advances in the sphere of nursing. The skills being established in nursing disciplines involve realistic practice as offered by particular laboratories designed adequately. In its comprehensive development plan, sports amenities are provided to all learners. The college also has its own hostels for girls and boys that helps out station students to take the necessary accommodations in safe environment.
The Course offered by Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib College of Nursing are four full time nursing courses in total. These programmes are offered to various categories of nursing qualifications, starting from the basic level. The college has 50 intake capacity in the B.Sc Nursing programme which serves as the base of the college programme . For those who want to take their qualification up a notch, there’s the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course offered in 30 seats. The college also has 40 seats General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) courses and Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course. These courses in aggregate make the total number of student intake to 320, this show that the institute has the capacity of producing a large number of nursing professional in the coming year.
