National Council for Teacher Education affiliated SR College at Gwalior. The college runs teacher training programmes in specialised curricula directing student careers in primary education. The SR College admission method is meant to select worthy candidates who have the desire to become teachers. Thus, SR College admission is given to students who come in purely from the scores obtained in the qualifying examination as defined by Madhya Pradesh State Government. Candidates need to have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination to be eligible.

According to the eligibility criteria, D.El.Ed is the flagship programme of the College in Gwalior, where admissions happen solely based on merit caused by performance in the qualifying examination (10+2 or its equivalent, which has well defined in the eligibility criteria). It is a programme preparing students for working as teachers at the primary education level in subjects such as Mathematics, Information Technology, Physical Education, Art and Music, Science, and Christian Religion.
