The Shri Shiv Chhatrapati College, Junnar, was founded in 1970 and is an affiliated college situated in Pune, Maharashtra. It has a campus area of 10 acres, and it has also been assessed and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. It offers several courses—as many as 20—approximately, under nine different degree programs for its total student enrolment of 2,172. It has a faculty strength of 71, hence maintaining a good enough student-faculty ratio. The total area covered is 3,900 sq. ft., having sections meant for reading, stacking, textbook, periodicals and e-resources. Besides these, the college has a multi-activity indoor sports stadium and a well-equipped gymnasium that helps in conducting table tennis, badminton, wrestling, and basketball games. There is also a playground for outdoor games within the campus. Science students are assisted by well-equipped laboratories across all departments, namely Chemistry, Physics, Botany, and Zoology, having specialised facilities like Tissue Culture Lab and DNA Lab under the DST-FIST scheme.

- Boys Hostel
The college has a hostel for boys with an intake capacity of 40 students. The hostel has a well-established reading room, a Constant supply of safe drinking water, and facilities for medical emergencies are available. The college has a residential facility for staff and students.

The college has a health center with a student first aid facility.
- Library
The college library had 765 books in its initial stage. Today, it has 109641 books. These books are used by the students of the Senior College. Our Library has made available 14 newspapers and Periodicals to our readers. The library building has occupied an area of over 3900 sq. ft., covering the Reading Room, Stacking Sections, textbook section, periodical sections, computer server room, ebook and e-journal section, Librarian’s room, Lavatory, and staff reading room. The library is enriched with a huge collection of books, journals, and bound volumes of audiovisual materials on various subjects. The Collection comprises about 111304 volumes covering subject areas from the faculty of Arts, Commerce, Science, Mental Morals, and Social Science. The library is well-equipped and Partly automated using the Smartlib –multilingual version. Over the last 05 decades, the collection has been systematically developed, covering all branches of knowledge. The reading material is acquired by way of donations and purchases from UGC and College funds.

The college has a Multi-activity Indoor sports stadium and a well-equipped Gymnasium hall in which many indoor games like Table Tennis, Badminton, Wrestling, Basketball, Fencing, and Chess are played. A playground is also available.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students.

There are two canteens available in our college's old canteen (near the indoor stadium) situated on the college campus, and the new canteen is located at the center of the college. Faculties and students are served top-quality hygienic food along with beverages.

The College Department of Chemistry was established in 1984. There are 6 laboratories for chemistry practicals. The total area of all labs is 748.98 Sq.m. and it is equipped with all the necessary and modern equipment and instruments. Separate laboratories are available for UG and PG. Along with separate Laboratories for physical instrumental practicals. The Department of Physics of this college was established in 1984. There are 3 laboratories and one Darkroom for physics practicals. The total area of all labs is 277 sq. m.The laboratories are fully equipped with instruments, equipment, and a departmental library. The department also has a separate computer lab with all the facilities. Separate laboratories are available for UG. The department was established in the year 1984. There is a total of 2 laboratories for botany practicals with a Tissue culture Laboratory (area 43.8 sq m)with media preparation, Inoculation, and Incubation facilities. The total area of all labs is 165.71 sq. m. The Department of Zoology was established in 1984. It has 4 labs: 2 for routine Practical, one is the Research Center lab, and it also has a DNA lab. (Under the DST-FIST scheme)fully equipped with instruments, equipment, and a departmental library. The total area of all Laboratories is 294.05 sq. m.The Department is a Recognised Research Centre of S.P.P.U, with five research guides.
