Shri Krishnaa College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET) was set up in the year 2012, is one of the imparting institutions of the Puducherry-Mannadipet. This affiliated college approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, New Delhi) and has carved its niche in the field of providing Engineering educational facilities. Divided into 14 acres of land, SKCET is dedicated to teach engineering disciplines with helping 138 students of the institute. The college has a dedicated and qualified staff of 48 members thus offering a good staff student ratio. Hence aligned to the technical education delivery, SKCET offers four B.Tech courses to compete with the industry demands.

SKCET boasts of providing a wide range of the learning accommodation amenities to its students. The well-stocked library also functions as an information centre which has vast number of books, journals and magazines both national and international. To improve practical knowledge, the SKCET has stocked laboratories to handle practicals across all possible engineering branches. This college has an interesting IT department with three computer labs linked with about 150 PCs, which use different operating systems to offer students various experiences. The need to stay healthy would have the SKCET to set up a health centre with first aid services. This college had also a balance interest of students’ extra curricula activities and was endowed with sporting facilities for health. SKCET aims and strives at giving a complete educational experience to the students. The college has an organised transport department with five buses that make safe and convenient drop off and pick up points for students and workers from different areas. This service is especially useful for those who are travelling from different parts of town before they get to work. Also this college has effectively formed an alumni association functions to connect current students with the passed out students. This network can prove beneficial for reaching out to get mentorship or/and experience with and look at what industry’s like. The college also has an auditorium that serves the needed multipurpose venue for events, seminars, and cultural activities improve the college’s lively spirit as SKCET.
SKCET’s full-time B.Tech programme is comprised of four-year B.Tech programmes, in the following streams: Such programmes are as follows: Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering,Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The total number of seats approved for all the courses is 150, out of which maximum of 60 belongs to Computer Science and Engineering and other three branches have 30 seat each. Such a wide offer of specialisations allow students to select an engineering branch, which they would like to work in.
