The major component students should pay heed to includes the important dates such as the deadlines for the application which are said to fall within the first week of July every year. SLRTCE accepts two entrance exams for admission-Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). The dates for these examinations fall before the commencement of the academic year, whose results are released as early as possible for the ensuing counseling session.
The candidate applying for undergraduate studies must have passed the 10+2 from any recognized board. Most of the programs have a cutoff of 50% aggregate marks at least in the qualifying examination. For B.Tech programs, the candidates should have passed 12th standard with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science as additional subjects. For Post Graduate degrees, generally, candidates must have completed their graduation in the relevant disciplines from the recognized university with a minimum of 50-55% in most universities. The candidates applying to SLRTCE are selected based mainly on their performance in the qualifying examination (12th standard) and/or their scores in the entrance test (JEE Main/MHT CET).
