Satyam College of Nursing, Kangra was started in the year 2014 to provide professional nursing education in the beautiful intervened district of Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. Situated in 3 acre campus this co-educational institute is an affiliated college recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). The college has the total student intake of 164 and having faculty of 21 Satyam College of Nursing has been constantly aiming to deliver the best nursing programmes that will build the future of healthcare professionals in India. Presently, the college offers four specialty classes for preparing skilled nurses in different aspects of nursing education; two of which are degree courses.

The institute has equipped itself with a number of general and specialised facilities to enhance its education programmes. The library and learning resource center is the academic focal point of the campus and contains a vast collection of up-to-date textbooks, references, professional and academic journals and newspapers and audio-visual aids. Current student gets further advantage of having computerized laboratory that is connected to the Internet that will keep the learners in touch with the new trends in the health technology. The college also invests in practical training and this has been-offended by the departmental laboratories that offer practical experience to learners. This institution of learning also provides and avails hostel services for the male and female students in order to meet their accommodation needs and welfare since Satyam College of Nursing also focuses on the welfare of it students by providing accommodation in cases where the student is unable to find a place near the college.
The various full time courses offered in Satyam College of Nursing comprises of total four programmes to meet the requirements of different level nursing. These are two courses of degrees and two of diploma so offering a full variety when it comes to nursing education. The B.Sc Nursing program which has been approved as the prime center of the college has an intake capacity of forty seats. The college also has 15 seats in a Post Basic B.Sc Nursing course for students who are already registered nurses who wish to advance their studies. Apart from this, institute offer Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) with a total of 20 seats in each. Altogether the college can admit ninety five students every year on different programs offered by the college.
Admission of student into Satyam College of Nursing is based on the following criteria: In case of the B.Sc Nursing, admission is done through an entrance test conducted by the Himachal Pradesh. The Post Basic B.Sc Nursing admissions are subjected to an entrance test to be given by the Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. For the GNM program, everybody is selected purely on merit of the qualifying examination that is 10+2 with Science groups preferably Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
