About Sachdeva College of Pharmacy, Kharar
Sachdeva College of Pharmacy located at Kharar, Mohali was started in the year of 2004 affiliated to PU. Located on a 2 creek area adjacent to Chandigarh Ludhiana National Highway, this institute offers four degrees to its students in pharmaceutical and medical laboratory sciences. Currently the college takes 330 students at a time and has a faculty of 26 teachers thus enhancing an appropriate learning environment. Affiliated to the PCI, Sachdeva College of Pharmacy provides four types of courses in B.Pharm, M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics), D.Pharm, B.Sc Medical Laboratory Science to fulfill the all sectors of pharma education.

The key infrastructure that is well developed in the college is that which makes students’ experience richer and backs academic endeavors. There are AC and non AC hostels for boys and girls in the campus with proper wardens for proper care and comfort. The mess facility is provided separately to each of the hostel and serves balanced diet three times a day. Among academic resources, the college library can be seen as the keystone by offering a fairly varied range of services. With almost 3,500 books consisting of 500 titles, the college also has 6 national and international journals along with DELNET subscription to foster raise research and higher learning. At the Book Bank Facility the students are permitted to deposit books for the entire semester for a very minimal fee to encourage reading.
In total, Sachdeva College of Pharmacy currently has four courses all of which are on full-time basis. The institute has combined approved intake of 162 across the different program of study. The in-take for the B.Pharma program which is the flagship program of the college is 60 students. Like all courses, 60 students are also covered in the D.Pharma course and 30 in B.Sc Medical Laboratory Science. In the second category of post graduate courses, the M.Pharma in Pharmaceutics have 12 seats. These diverse programs include aspects of pharmaceutical sciences and medical laboratory technology and therefore give students multiple choices leading to careers in healthcare and pharmaceutical companies.

- Boys Hostel
The college provides separate AC and non-AC hostels for boys. All rooms are spacious, hygienic, and designed in such a way that they give a comfortable stay to all students at the GGS-Sachdeva campus. Hostels are supervised by the chief warden and assistant warden. Each hostel and college has its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals three times a day.
- Girls Hostel
The college provides separate AC and non-AC hostels for girls. All rooms are spacious, hygienic, and designed in such a way that they give a comfortable stay to all students at the GGS-Sachdeva campus. Hostels are supervised by the chief warden and assistant warden. Each hostel & college has its own mess providing hygienic and nutritious meals three times a day. There are special safety measures for girl students.
- Medical/Hospital
The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
- Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students.
- Library
The college Library facilities are the heart of any educational institution. Sachdeva College of Pharmacy has a well-organized, ventilated, updated, and computerized library and a fully furnished and beautifully illuminated reading room with ample space that attracts students for studying, learning, making notes and assignments, and encourages them in performing day-to-day activities in a serene environment. The library has around 3500 books of around 500 different titles and 6 National and International Journals. Library also has a DELNET subscription to encourage research and advanced learning. It provides easy access to books and journals. The library is updated every year and newer journals, books, and abstracts are added to it. This helps the faculty members and all students to keep themselves aware of recent developments in the pharmaceutical sciences. The library is kept open for the students from morning till late in the evening. Our library is provided with a BOOK BANK FACILITY in which the students can keep the books for the whole semester at nominal charges. This enables students to read books throughout the semester without any fear of return by the due dates during the semester.
- Sports
The college has a wide range of sporting facilities including modern amenities and professionally qualified sports teachers are available on campus. The Institute has good facilities for indoor like Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Carom, etc., and outdoor sports. Intra-Institute sports tournaments are organized regularly and each activity inculcates a sense of discipline and sportsmanship. Here at Sachdeva College of pharmacy, every goal scored is cheered, every run scored is applauded and every point won calls for a great celebration.
