RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, Mahendragarh

A well-stocked library has been established in the heart of the college campus for the benefit of students and staff. It remains open on all working days from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. The Library is fully automated with internet facilities and e-journals. It consists of Reference Sections, Circulation Sections, Periodical Sections, etc. A card cataloging system is used for library references.

At present more than 2000 books from different disciplines, scientific journals, and copies of Master's and Ph.D. theses, departmental manuals, magazines, and newspapers are available in the library. It is managed and operated by diligent librarians & supporting staff. It is highly spacious and can accommodate up to 200 scholars at a time.

The Diagnostic Laboratory provides laboratory diagnostic help to clinicians regarding blood examination, urine and fecal examination, and microbiological work to clients including animal owners, farmers, animal breeders, shepherds, etc. The Laboratory is also upgraded to deal with the diagnosis of various diseases and mastitis.

It also aims at increasing the productivity of animals and their products through appropriate farm management practices. Here, the available facilities are an Automatic Hematological analyzer, Spectrophotometer, blood Chemistry semi-auto-analyzer, urine analyzer, Elisa reader, etc.

1. Computing Facility: The institute is equipped with well-structured computer labs with more than 250 high-quality Dual Core 2.70 GHz machines from HCL. Printers and scanners are provided in every lab and each computer is connected with high-speed dedicated 8 Mbps 1:1 bandwidth. All computer labs are connected with a 24-hour uninterrupted power supply.
2. Internet Connectivity: All computers are connected with dedicated 8 Mbps 1:1 bandwidth internet. The Internet connectivity with campus-wide area networking enables access from anywhere. Internet connectivity is extended to Hostel with Wi-Fi Connectivity.
3. Campus-Wide Network: The campus-wide area network is spread over all of the institutions, connecting all the service points. The whole campus is provided with the facility of Wi-Fi Connectivity including Hostels, Lawns, a Canteen, and a Central Library.
4. Network Lab: Network Lab is equipped with advanced hardware and tools for networking. The lab provides the facility to learn the latest networking techniques, and topologies, and maintain the network. The lab is equipped with the latest Cisco Routers, various Switches, Networking Cables, Wired, and Wireless LAN Cards.

The college has separate hostel facilities for girls with a hostel warden and supporting staff in each hostel to supervise. The hostel is quite spacious and comfortable with well-furnished & fully maintained rooms. A separate reading room on each floor is also available for the students. All the rooms are good in ventilation with basic amenities like bed, table, chair, cupboard, and electrical fittings.

The Canteen at RPSGOI is highly hygienic and it caters to the needs of healthy and nutritious eatables. Junk foods are a big no in the canteen. The canteen opens from 08:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. The routine health check-up of the cook and the workers is carried out at regular intervals of three months. Furthermore, our canteen has menus that are designed by a team of professional dieticians, comprising nutritious and wholesome food to ensure a well-balanced diet including fresh fruit juices, milkshakes, and ice creams. Midnight snacks are also available in the canteen for those energy boosts.

RPS Institutes have a big fleet of more than 59 buses plying up to a radius of 80km. The bus facility, apart from the students, has also been given to the faculty members and other staff members from all the nearby cities and towns at very nominal charges. Experienced and skilled drivers who fulfill all the terms and conditions of the State Government are appointed to all the buses.

The ATM facility from Oriental Bank of Commerce is provided to the students and all teaching and non-teaching staff of RPS on the premises of RPS GOI, Balana.

As it's a well-known saying that "A sound mind resides in a sound body", we have a fully equipped gym which has high-quality equipment, such as different varieties of dumbbells, barbells, cardio machines, weight lifting machines, etc. for all your exercise requirements. We have professionals such as dieticians, gym instructors, physical therapists, yoga instructors, bodybuilders, and aerobics trainers available in the gym. On-campus Gymnasium equipped with the most modern fitness machines provides a perfect opportunity for both girls and boys for their regular workouts and enhance their fitness levels.

Along with the academic environment, the college also promotes the importance of sportsman spirit & team effort for students. For this, several inter and intra-college sports events are organized throughout the year. The Campus has adequate sports infrastructure like Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Badminton, etc. It presents excellent facilities for indoor & outdoor games. A modern & fully functional gymnasium is also available here to make the students healthy & strong.

RPS Group of Institutions is well connected to its ISP (Internet Service Provider) via a leased optical fiber cable carrying a data rate of 50 Mbps. Internet facility is provided in the whole campus, labs, and hostels using wired and Wi-Fi techniques 24x7.

The institute encompasses 1 seminar hall, which is designed in a way to accelerate the teaching-learning process using modern technological aids. It is used for various purposes like guest lectures, workshops, student meetings, staff meetings, placement drives, Faculty-Development Programs, etc. It is fully media-equipped with an LCD Projector & HD sound system. It has a capacity of 300 viewer seats.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
