Priyadarshini College of Education, Chowari, was established in 2009 with affiliation to Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. This co-educational institution accredited by NCTE offers only a teacher education programme. Founded on a limited piece of land of one acre, the college is providing a Bachelor of Education, commonly abbreviated as B.Ed., with a maximum course capacity of one hundred students. Catering to its 200-plus students, the college has a faculty of 14 committed teachers, making for a good student-to-teacher ratio and hence a sound learning environment for its aspiring teachers.

Priyadarshini College of Education is affiliated with Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla. Priyadarshini College of Education has made available a number of infrastructures that facilitate learning as well as the several development abilities of the learners. A reference section is an essential facility that offers the needed information for academic activities. Science and technology resources on the campus include the following: modern laboratories in view of practical lessons and other research works. Priyadarshini College of Education offers a two-year full-time B.Ed programme in teacher education, specialised only in this field. This program is set to take in one hundred students only and aims at providing potential teachers with tools necessary to face day-to-day teaching. They are probably taught on numerous courses, some of which are educational psychology, methods and approaches of teaching, and ways of managing classroom behaviour, but details have not been availed.
