Having a proper 3 acre campus, it has got all necessary amenities and facilities to accommodate its courses. Preston Institute is at present staffed by 25 faculty members to prepare the future generation of hospitality professionals. We provide the following modern facilities for our students: well-equipped classrooms, specialised laboratories for first-year students – a bakery lab; and for the third-year students – an elaborate baking and confectionery lab. Three restaurant sections and a bar for food and beverage service are available to the students with all the facilities. It also has a library with books, reference books, journals, text books, CD ROMs and other educational / informative material. To ensure the accommodation of all student needs and needs, the hostel is divided into sections for boys and girls, which are also well large, well furnished, well ventilated and fully air-conditioned with round the clock services. Part of the infrastructure Internet facility is available on the campus and the wires Internet facility make enable the students to interact with internet optimally. Students’ meals are provided in a comparatively new cafeteria, and physical education is offered by several indoor and outdoor sport grounds.The programmes offered at Preston Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology are 6 full time courses, 1 under graduate and 5 diplomates. The B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration is the 3 year Undergraduate Programme which was started with an intake of 60 students. The institute also conducts 2 years diploma courses in Food Production, Bakery and Confectionery, Front Office Operation, Housekeeping Operations and Food and Beverages Service for 40 students each in each consecutive batch. In the case of the B.Sc., eligible candidates are admitted through the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Entrance Examination (NCHM JEE) and through counseling for allotment of Institute on All India basis. NCHM JEE application process generally comes up early in the year, preferably in the first quarter for admissions for the academic year beginning in July or August. For diploma courses, the admission process is direct done by the institute jointly with NCHMCT and IGNOU, New Delhi. Students are encouraged to visit the website of the institute of their preference, or with the office in charge of admission, to get the right time and date of the events as these vary from time to time.
