Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan

The college has a Library and Information Center, located on the second floor of B-Block. The library is accessible to NCE students and faculty. The library is well stocked with more than 3500 titles and 15000 Volumes providing students access to various kinds of books and reading materials.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College has two separate boys' hostels which are furnished as per the needs of a student’s life. The hostels are self-sufficient in all respects and have both double sharing and four-sharing accommodation, a common dining hall, TV hall. The hostel students are provided with a student-friendly menu. The hostels are safe and with 24-hour security with CCTV surveillance. Wardens are responsible for each of the hostels and pastoral care is given a lot of importance.

The College Girl’s hostel is situated in the center of the city. There are 36 rooms with a common dining hall and TV hall. The hostel students are provided with a student-friendly menu. It has 24-hour security with a CCTV camera installed within the hostel. The hostel has been provided with gas geysers and a solar water heater for the continual supply of hot water. The management has appointed a Warden (Residential) to take care of the day-to-day activities of the hostel. The hostel has in-house Kitchen staff and has outsourced housekeeping work. Currently, the total number of students residing in the hostel is 108.

The College has a newly added auditorium complete in all aspects from sound to seating to music and theatre setting.  This is a perfect location for students to demonstrate their public speaking skills, stage plays, attend guest talks, and also attend all the conferences that are hosted on the campus.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has facilities for Athletics, Sports like Cricket, volleyball, football, Handball, Badminton, Throwball, Kho-Kho, and Kabaddi, along with Games like Carom, Chess, and Table Tennis. Expert coaching is given to guide the students and prepare them for competitions. A few students have represented our College as well as our Zone in Inter-College and Inter-Zonal matches in events like Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Triple Jump, and Relay Races. One of our students secured 1st place in the best physique in the under-60 kg category. Preparations are on to set up a Multi-gym in the College.

 Well-planned and result-oriented syllabus has been worked out and Placement Training Classes are conducted every week. The Training and Placement (TAP) wing of the CGC monitors the conduct of the Placement Training Classes and Assessments. Normally Campus Recruitment process happens during the 7th and 8th Semesters. During that time, students are given guidance to register and follow the recruitment processes specified by different companies.  

Cultural activities organized by the committee include the annual cultural festival SAMVATHSARA, which is organized usually in May and includes inter-college competitions in fine arts, literature, gaming, music, theatre, and dance events.

The college has a health center with a student first aid facility.

The college has a fleet of 6 buses to transport students to their respective places. The transport facility is available to students, faculty, and staff residing in & around a radius of 20 KM of the college campus.  

Eco Club is a forum empowering the student community to participate in and take up meaningful environmental activities. Eco clubs will enable students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. It will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions
