Manipur University of Culture, Imphal (MUC), is a state university established in 2015 that is basically engaged in the propagation and conservation of the cultural wealth of Manipur. Situated at Palace Compound, Imphal East, this single institution provides numerous traditional compulsory courses in arts, music, dance, and cultural studies. UGC approved, Manipur University of Culture has a strength of 408 students in total and 91 faculty members in total.

Manipur University of Culture owns various infrastructures equipped to enhance the academic and cultural activities. The library was set up in October 2016, and it contains 2250 printed books, photocopies of 500 rare books, and 2500 digitised books. It also receives everyday regional and national dailies, weeklies, newsletters, and other periodicals related to performing arts and the history and culture of Manipur, especially.
