In 2003, the College of Physiotherapy Navi Mumbai was inaugurated under the aegis of Mahatma Gandhi Mission. It follows a fair admission procedure and is extremely welcoming to an aspiring physiotherapist. Admission into MGM College of Physiotherapy is taken solely on the basis of merit, capability, and readiness to pursue education in physiotherapy. The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) program is available to undergraduate students. Post-graduates can be offered admissions for the two different complete Master in Physiotherapy (MPT) specializations: MPT in Preventive and Community Physiotherapy, and MPT in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. The college adheres to all the terms laid down by the competent authority regarding admissions. Although the admission dates may change from year to year, the admissions process usually begins a couple of months before any academic seasons.

Application Process

Applications on behalf of Mahatma Gandhi Mission’s College of Physiotherapy, Navi Mumbai differ based on the chosen program:

For BPT program:

1. For application forms and instructions, check with the college website or admissions office.
2. Application Form filling with all relevant details like personal and educational history.
3. Attach all necessary documents including a 10+2 mark sheet, date of birth proof, and other certificates indicated as needed.
4. Submit the completed application form with requisite fees before the deadline.

For MPT programs (both Preventive and Community Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy):

1. Check visit the college website or contact the admissions office about the announcement regarding MPT admissions.
2. Procure and fill out an application form for the desired MPT program.
3. Prepare according to syllabus and guidelines laid down by the competent authority for the entrance test.
4. Duly filled application form along with all necessary documents including BPT degree certificate shall be submitted.
5. Pay the application fee as instructed by college policy.
6. Attend the entrance test on the day specified in the calendar year.
7. Once shortlisted, attend other rounds of selection as may be required by the college, such as an interview or verification of documents. 

Degree Wise Admission Process

BPT (Bachelor in Physiotherapy): The popular and much sought-after full-time BPT Program is available at the college. Though specific details for admissions have not been specified, candidates need to generally fulfill the requirement of completion of 10+2 in science. According to merit in the qualifying examination, and with a possible entrance test, selected candidates should be considered for admission.

MPT (Master in Physiotherapy): The college provides two specialized MPT programs: MPT in Preventive and Community Physiotherapy- Approved occupancy for the program is 6 seats. Admission will be based on rules framed by the competent authority. An entrance test forms part of the selection process.

MPT in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy: Just like the Preventive and Community Physiotherapy program, this course has an approved intake of 6 seats. The admission procedure comprises an entrance test held as per regulations of the competent authority. In general, candidates shall possess a BPT or equivalent degree from any recognized university for both MPT programs.
