Mahatma Basaweshwar Education Society’s College of Engineering, Ambajogai (MBES COE), has been offering various undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs for many years. The college shall follow a defined merit-based admission procedure in accordance with the policy of the regulatory bodies. The MBES COE admits only through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). The admission cycle for MBES COE is usually parallel with the MHT CET. It is tentatively expected that MHT CET for the forthcoming academic session shall be held on April 8, 2025, for the PCB Group; hence, all candidates are advised to take note of the same and commence their preparations. The application process for MHT CET normally begins some months in advance, and candidates are strongly advised to refer to the official MHT CET website for exact dates of application.

Eligibility for admission to MBES COE varies by program. In the case of B-Tech programs, the candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. There could be specific percentage requirements for admission, which is generally around 50% of aggregate marks in these subjects. MHT CET is the only entrance test accepted by MBES COE for undergraduate admissions. The examination tests the students on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics knowledge. For the Postgraduate programs, in M.Tech, the college may either consider scores of one of the other approved national entrance exams or follow its own pathway of admission.

Application Process

As far as the application procedure for MBES COE goes, it consists of the following:

1. Register for the MHT CET exam (for B.Tech programs) and attend it.

2. The announcement of MHT CET results now permits the eligible candidates to apply for admission to MBES COE for the centralized admission process conducted by the state.

3. Fill the online application form of MBES COE, giving the personal and academic information correct in all aspects.

4. Uploading of all necessary documents-may include

• 10th and 12th Mark sheets
• MHT CET score card
• Domicile certificate (only if applicable)
• Category certificate (only if applicable)
• Recent passport-size photographs

5. Pay the application fee prescribed by the college.

6. Completion of application form and submission, with waiting for merit list or counseling.

7. If selected, candidates shall have to report to the college for document verification and complete all admission formalities including payment of fees.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech: B.Tech programs are being offered in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Admission is based on merit obtained in MHT CET. Overall number of seats for B.Tech programs is 330, within which the largest intake is for Computer Science and Engineering at 120 seats. 

M.Tech: M.Tech programs are for Computer Science and Information Technology, Control System Engineering, Manufacturing Process, Digital Communications, and Computer Aided Structural Engineering, with each M.Tech Program having 18 seats. The admission process for the M.Tech will probably take into account either the GATE score along with a possible separate entrance test, organize counseling, and publish the admission list according to merit.
