JSS Institute of Education Suttur was established in the year 2004 and is an affiliated college situated at Nanjangud Taluk- Mysore District – Karnataka. This esteemed institution established under section 3 of the Central educational institutions act 2021 NCTE approves this institution and offers teacher education. Located on a vast area of 29.299 sections of land the institute provides an ideal environment to enable learning. JSS Institute of Education has a student capacity of 73 students and faculty members and teachers are 10 in number which means the institute Can provide Intimate care to the students who wants to be a teacher.

It owns state of the art facilities which facilitate the learning process of the students in the institute. The library of the college has a rich collection of over 33,000 books ranging from educational and pedagogical issues, literature, educational periodicals and magazines. The campus consists of up-to-date lab like Educational Technology Lab, Language Lab, Science Lab as well as an Educational Psychology Lab. A facility called ICT Resource Centre with seventy five computers and internet connection avail students with latest technological advancement in teaching. molded to foster holistic development, there are first rate sports amenities such volleyball and basketball court, football field and multi gym. That the institute provides different hostel facilities to male and female students especially those from far-off areas is another factor that makes the institute tenable.

JSS Institute of Education Suttur as of now provide only one main course to its students and it is Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This full time course is duration of two years and institute has approved intake capacity of 100 seats which ensures that each year a sufficient number of qualified educators are being produced. In view of the above, it is the belief of the M.C.K University that, through the development of the B.Ed programme, the students will be in a position to effectively imbibe the teaching profession with necessary skills and knowledge that is both theory driven as well as practice based.
