It is a co-education college that provides undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in the faculty of Arts and Commerce of Gujarat University and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Spread over a campus area of 33-acre area, the college has a total enrolment of 3,946 students and a faculty strength of 32 committed educators, the college has three different degree courses for varied academic interests and career aspirations of students. Its 93% student base hails from within the state while the rest 7% is out of state adding to cultural exchange. General learning environment comprises all infrastructural facilities with modern amenities. Gujarat Arts and Commerce College Evening has a completely computerised college library housed in a separate building, automation of which has been done through SOUL software ver. 2.0. Its collection includes over 15000 volumes, rare collections, and around 40 general and subject journals. A humongous collection of books and journals is akin.

Gujarat College Hostel has four blocks namely A, B, C, and D with the capacity of 30, 16, 18, and 20 rooms, The blocks were built in the years 1899, 1902, 1912, and 1916 respectively to accommodate students of the college.

The college library has a separate building on campus. The institution has already an automated system using an integrated library management system. The books or journals, if anyone wants to refer to each student and staff member then a college ID card is mandatory. We do have a separate departmental library with more than 7000 books. The College Library is fully automated {Integrated Library Management Sys (ILMS)} by SOUL software(version 2.0). We have a brain script system for blind students.
