Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Gwalior was established in 1994 to provide technical education to women in large number. This is located at vicinity of Gwalior the Capital city of the Malwa region in Madhya Pradesh, India and has acquired affiliation from ALL India Council for Technical Education (AITEC). The institute provides various diploma courses to meet the various fields of study in the society. This college also renders a quality education to the aspiring female technicians and engineers since its faculty has 15 experienced professionals.
The college has various facilities meant to supplement the learning activities of students in the college. Every academy has a library of purposeful valuable collection of books, newspapers and number of assistances from thousands of collections. It plays the important role of a knowledge base of the university’s faculty as well as the students. As for general practical assignment, the institute contains modern work laboratories. These are computer laboratories containing fifty-six desks and essential software, including AutoCAD & 3D Max software, printers, and internet connectivity, respectively. This way, through the students’ IT infrastructure, they do reach the latest technology in the society. Besides, giving comfort to out-station students, the college offer girls hostel facility within the college for 100 students.
There are seven diploma courses in Government Women’s Polytechnic College, Gwalior, and all of them are regular courses. The courses are Computer Science and Engineering, Beauty Culture and Cosmetology, Textile, Electronics and telecommunication, etc. These courses cut across most fields so as to offer students a wide range of opportunities in the job market.

The College has a Library for reference to faculty and students. The library has thousands of purposeful collections of books The library has subscribed to many Hindi English newspapers. In addition to textbooks, the library also offers the facility of a reference book.
