Government Polytechnic College, Gajendragad offers the mechanical, civil, computer science, electronics and communication engineering technology, automobile engineering to fulfil the demand for technical skilful technician and engineers in the field.

A modern Library is also adequately equipped and contains numerous books which makes its major function being serving as a centre for learning . Another strength established by the Government Polytechnic is good and sound IT equipment; the use of reasonably good IT equipment boosts students’ studies. Departments laboratories are essential as they allow practical sessions crucial in disciplining an engineer which would otherwise only deal with theories. As for students health, all has been provided with sporting amenities.
