Government Polytechnic, Diglipur

Government Polytechnic, Diglipur, is a government run technical institution of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. The institute is an affiliated college and has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). As a government college, it provides diploma to engineering students with proper exposure to industry demands in Digliputr. It also has some amenities that are intended to improve teaching and learning environment of the students of the institute. 

The known college library is a resource centre through which a student can readily access to academic materials and referential books. As part of effective physical learning and application based teaching and learning, the college has functional departmental laboratories of various disciplines. Government Polytechnic, Diglipur, also understands the need to do something about the student’s health status, besides providing them sports complex for doing exercise to balance academic work and exercises. In addition, students are taken through quality IT infrastructure to allow them to have mastery and a sound exposure to the advances in their disciplines through excellent college computing resources. 

At present, Government Polytechnic, Diglipur, provides two diploma courses only. These are Diploma in Civil Engineering and Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering as the institute majors in two of the busiest fields in the market today. This limited intake leads to the belief that the student to faculty ratio would be conducive to facilitating more one on one interaction during the learning process.
