Government Polytechnic College, Shahdol

GPSC was established in 1960 in Pandav Nagar, Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh Government Polytechnic College Shahdol was one of the most popular technical colleges among the colleges of Madhya Pradesh. This affiliated college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education and provides numerous diploma courses in different stream of engineering. Located in a large 40-acre complex the college offers an appropriate environment for technical college. Currently the institute has 14 committed faculty members out of which all are working dedicatedly to produce skilled technicians and engineers of the future.

Government polytechnic college, shahdol has put in place many amenities that seek to support students’ learning needs and experiences. There are separate departmental laboratories in the campus to cater the need of the students for practical training which are an important component of technical education. Broad library information centre answer the need for reliable information in the process of students’ studies multilaterally. It also has an auditorium where functions and seminars are carried out so as to enhance the cultures of the college. The practical needs of students’ physic-changes are satisfied by offering possibility to use the sports facilities that enable a proper ratio between studying and necessary physical loads. Hostel facilities are provides to every male and female students so that they can easily get proper accommodation while studying in college. The institute’s information technology and computing systems can also be applauded for being able to adapt to the technological advancements and for basically warming the students to the new world.

Government polytechnic college, shahdol has courses which are posed for a full time diploma course of 3 years duration and the institute offers 6 full time courses. These courses are intended for virtually all branches of engineering, that means students will be able to select a certain field of work. Since it is a college level institution, it has a large intake of student; 90 students for Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively. Computer Science and Engineering along with Mine Surveying and Mining and Mine Surveying has 60 intake seats per course. These many courses are evident as the institute works towards fulfilling the technical manpower requirement in these sectors.

Government Polytechnic College, Shahdol prospective student admission process is as much simple as possible, so as to enable as many students as possible to enroll with the college.
