Govt College of engineering and textile technology serampor has a decent infrastructure for Btech Computer Science and engineering students the campus is well maintained with good lab facilities and a library however the infrastructure could be improved further

Govt College of engineering and textile technology a vibrant campus life there are various clubs and societies to join and the college organises several cultural and technical events throughout the year the campus has a closed knit community and students often participate in various activities

For placements govt College of engineering and textile technologyhas a decent record the college has a dedicated placement cell that works to connect students with companies some of the top recruiters include tcs Wipro and Infosys however the placement opportunities for computer science and engineering students could be better compared to other branches

I was studying computer science and engineering. Quality of teaching is good of the permanent teachers. The curriculum is same as other West Bengal colleges. But teacher keeps us updated with the latest technology.

College Infra

When I was studying in the college, the infrastructure was good, but not excellent. They have improved the infrastructure. Our laboratory was very well maintained. Wifi was very good. Smart classrooms were present.

Campus Life

We get to enjoy various activities. Different fests are held every year. I have always been a part. I was also the part of anti-ragging squad. The location of college is 10 mins from serampore. The transportation is good.

Placements

Placement of the college is excellent. Placement cell guide us very well. The highest package was offered by software company of 6 lpa. Textile department has been offered the package was 15 lpa. College is all over supportive in this area.

Value For Money

I would say that the value for money is too good because its a government college. The facilities are good. We get ample time for skill development. I have spend almost 50,000 for 4 years. The fees for textile student is even less.

    The college offers a four-storey hostel facilities for boys. The GCETTS hostel has the required facilities for the comfort of the students.

    The Girls' hostel is under consideration and will be constructed soon. Depending on the number of available seats, hostel accommodations are offered. A hostel committee made up of the superintendent, staff members, and students control the hostel and its mess.
