Admission is done through a combined entrance test conducted by the State University (Punjab University, Chandigarh/Punjabi University, Patiala/Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar) rotation wise during the month of July/August every year.
The score obtained in the Entrance test is the criterion of merit.
15 percent of the seats are filled on All India basis and the 85 percent seats are filled from the Punjab State pool.

All the books are classified and cataloged. Cataloging has been computerized. Xerox facility is provided to the students and the staff.
