Golaghat Engineering College is an engineering college located in Golaghat town, Assam, which was officially founded in 2018. Located at Amagor with a campus area of 44 acres, GEC provides three undergraduate engineering Programmes, admitting 180 students per academic year. Golaghat Engineering College also believes in ensuring that its students learn in the best environment possible. Currently, GEC provides a variety of services and amenities for academic and individual development. These books exceed 500 and are distributed over engineering and social sciences, basic sciences, and humanities and are useful for students and researchers. Computer laboratory: The college has a computer centre with access to 29 PCs, a printer, and a central UPS system for the necessary infrastructure as an information technology support system for students. To develop these skills, there is a computerised language laboratory containing 11 computers and Wordsworth English Language Lab software.
Golaghat Engineering College currently offers three full-time programmes: B.Tech Chemical Engineering, B.Tech Civil Engineering and B.Tech Mechanical Engineering. These undergraduate degree programmes with a duration of four (4) years are aimed at offering students a good grounding that will enable practicing engineers to succeed in this line of business.

- Boys Hostel
The college hostel buildings are double-storeyed, each with a capacity to accommodate 80 students. It has provisions for a vertical extension to G+3 stories. In addition, future provisions for more no. of hostels and Quarters for hostel superintendents are there as per the site map. The no. of boys students residing in the boys’ hostel is 70.
- Girls Hostel
The college hostel buildings are double-storeyed, with a capacity to accommodate students. it has provisions for a vertical extension to G+3 stories, the no. of female students in the girls’ hostel is 20. In addition, female students of C.I.D.C. and their faculty members are also accommodated in the Girls’ Hostel. The girls’ hostel has six nos. of lady attendants with two attendants in each shift.
- Library
The College Library plays an important role in catering to the educational needs of the students of Golaghat Engineering College. The library holds about 500+ books comprising the three branches of Chemical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering together with books on Basic Sciences and Humanities. The library aims at developing a state-of-the-art research library to encourage researchers to pursue their research toward the needs of society today.
- Laboratories
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students and College has a computer center with 29 PCs, 1 printer, and 1 central with 20 batteries. All systems are equipped with Turbo C software and a Linux OS environment and have a state-of-the-art language laboratory with 11 PCs. All systems are equipped with Wordsworth English Language Lab software which helps in the development of soft skills for our budding engineers.
- Auditorium
The general conference hall can accommodate 50 persons with separate sitting arrangements for the presiding dignitary.
- I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students. The College has a computer center with 29 PCs, 1 printer, and 1 central UPS with 20 batteries. All systems are equipped with Turbo C software and a Linux OS environment.
- Training and Placement Cell
TRAINING AND PLACEMENT CELL of Golaghat Engineering College. It has a dedicated T&P Cell housed in the Administrative building of the College, with all the required infrastructural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests, and interviews besides catering to other logistics. The placement season runs through the course of the year. Pre- Pre-placement talks will be conducted in this regard as per mutual convenience.
