Sher-e-Kashmir The University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Srinagar, is one of the premier constituent colleges in the faculty Agricultural science was started in the year 1962. Wadoora Sopore Baramulla is a co-educational institution set in a vast land of 230 acres, to be exact. This college is a faculty of SKUAST Kashmir. The faculty teaches twenty courses spread across three degree levels and serves a total student population of 657. Currently, SKUAST-K has 62 faculty members generally in the faculty of agriculture, and department-wise, the number of faculty members is far better than many universities and helps in maintaining a proper student-faculty ratio that is highly important for quality education and research in fields of agricultural sciences.

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology stands proud of a number of well-equipped modern facilities aimed at improving the learning climate for the students. Both the fresh and clean-looking Library and Information Centre is manned by skilled personnel to assist scholars and the academic community in general. Facilities such as physics and various other highly advanced laboratories are available for different departments, which are essential for handling practicals necessary for agricultural sciences. The faculty also provides all-round facilities in the field of sport, a large hall for the conduct of events and seminars, and separate rooms for boys and girls’ hostels for students. Also, there is a health centre, a sports complex with a gym and a cafeteria, as well as guest houses to provide comfortable conditions for students and guest lecturers.
The Faculty of Agriculture established by the university also offers a comprehensive package of learning from the undergraduate level up to the doctorate. The largest programme at Mandal is B.Sc. Agriculture (Hons), which takes a total of 119 first-year students.
