Dr BR Ambedkar Government Polytechnic, Una, is one amongst the premier technical institute established in the year 1995 located in Una district of Himachal Pradesh . This AICTE approved institute offers diploma programmes in several engineering streams. Dr BR Ambedkar Government Polytechnic has a wide range of resources in form of facilities in order to make sure that students receive an improved learning experience at the polytechnic. The campus comprises well-facilitated laboratories for all departments, Computer Engineering, Multimedia Laboratory, Networking Laboratory, Programming Laboratory, Electronics, Civil and Mechanical Engineering departments. The library of the institute occupies 300 square meters; there are approximately 7000 books in it, and today, the institute offers its students to read six different journals and magazines containing the information about the latest achievements in the sphere of technologies. The computer centre which is fully complimented with sixty latest computers with Internet facility open the students to the latest soft wares and technologies. For the residential students, the polytechnic provides dormitory accommodation for 120 and 60 students respectively.
Dr. BR Ambedkar Government Polytechnic Institute provides a total of five full time diploma courses and all of them are of three years duration. These courses includes a wide range of fields of engineering and helps to prepare students for technical education. Our diploma courses are Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, and Diploma in Architecture Assistantship.

- Boys Hostel
The College has a boy's hostel is located within the campus with accommodation for 120 students. The rooms are airy and hygienic. A full-fledged hostel management system runs the system smoothly. A good number of newspapers and magazine facilities are available in the hostels. Spacious and well-ventilated rooms with adequate tables, chairs, cupboards, etc. are available to give the students a perfect homely stay. Facilities for certain outdoor games like Badminton, Volleyball, Basketball, and Cricket are provided on the campus.
- Girls Hostel
The College has a Girls' hostel located on the campus with accommodation for 60 students. The rooms are spacious and well-ventilated with adequate tables, chairs, cupboards, etc. A special arrangement has been made for the safety, security, and privacy of the girls residing in the hostel.
- Library
The College has Polytechnic has a common library with approx. 7,000 books by different authors on various subjects. The library has subscribed to six different journals and magazines to keep the students and faculty up to date with the fast-changing technology of today's world. The total built-up area of the library is approx. 300 sq. meter, which includes 100 sq. meters reading hall. As the library is well-ventilated and lighted, it offers a very pleasing environment for the students to study. The library is equipped with 10 computer systems with the latest configurations and has various LR media.
- I.T Infrastructure
The Institute has a well-furnished computer center. The computer center is equipped with 60 computers of the latest configurations/specifications. All the latest software is installed spanning even beyond the curriculum so that the students continually upgrade their knowledge and skills. The computer center provides basic computer education/literacy to the students of various disciplines in this institute.
