About GDMC Dehradun
Doon Medical College Dehradun was established in the year 2015. It is one of the premier medical colleges in the state, spread over 12 acres as an affiliated college. GDMC Dehradun imparts various medical programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It offers 17 courses across 3 streams, namely medical, science, and paramedical. The college has a total student enrolment of 623, and the faculty strength is 203.

Doon Medical College, Dehradun, a highly reputed medical college, adheres to a well-structured policy of admissions on the basis of national-level entrance examinations so as to ensure that deserving candidates get admission from all over the country. Undergraduate admissions at Doon Medical College are done on the basis of the scores obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). NEET-UG is the compulsory examination for those candidate medical students in India. The NEET-UG application process generally begins in February, and the examination is conducted in May. It is pertinent for the students to keep track of the NEET-UG dates and the schedule for admission as announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
For MD and MS courses, Doon Medical College admission is through the scores obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG). The NEET-PG is generally held in January, while counselling for the admissions extends from February to March of the succeeding year. Candidates clearing the NEET-PG shall become eligible for admission into the postgraduate courses offered by GDMC Dehradun. Minimum eligibility for MBBS admissions requires a passing standard of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects.
