Dhali Institute of Teacher Education, Hasnabad, or DITE, was founded in the year 2016 at Chaltaberia, Murarisha, Hasnabad, North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It is a co-educational institution approved by NCTE, which speaks volumes about the institution’s high standards in the field of teacher education. The institute sprawls over a compact campus of 1 acre amidst an ideal learning environment, providing an apt setting to its 275 enrolled students. There are 15 members on the faculty, so the student-to-teacher ratio is very conducive for personal attention and guidance at DITE.

Multiplicity of facilities is working towards betterment in the learning process and overall development of pupils. The library is a treasure house for learning. There are more than 6,000 books on all subjects written by famous writers. DITE believes in making optimum use of technology, proven through the IT infrastructure consisting of a well-equipped computer lab with more than 50 computers updated with the latest software. DITE offers two regular courses of teacher education. Among them, one is B.Ed. and another is D.El. Ed. The duration of both the courses is two years. And both will lead to a teaching profession in different educational levels of the students.

The general admission procedures of Dhali Institute of Teacher Education includes following steps :
- DITE will publish a notice for the initiation of the admission process through diverse media sources and its official portal.
- The candidates will have to procure and fill in the application form. This can be downloadable on the institute website or in hard copy from the institute admission office.
- Along with the filled-in application form, the candidates will have to submit documents like:
- Subject to the course and prevailing admission policy, the applicants may be required to sit for an entrance test.
- Based on the merit secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test, a merit list shall be prepared and announced.
- The shortlisted candidates would be invited for counselling, during which they must fill their documents and undergo the admission procedure, including fee payment.

Dhali Institute of Teacher Education B.Ed. Admission Process
B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education):
Strength of DITE B.Ed. course has been approved for 100 seats. Dhali Institute of Teacher Education admission to the course is conducted on a merit basis, taking into account the marks secured in the entrance test and/or qualifying test. The procedure of selection of choices could differ as per the policy of the state government and the affiliating university. The application for admission to B.Ed. course has to have passed the bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination of a recognised university.
Dhali Institute of Teacher Education D.El.Ed. Admission Process
D.El.Ed. (Diploma in Elementary Education):
DITE has 100 seats in D.El.Ed. course. Admission process for the course is referred as following merit-based system also. Dhali Institute of Teacher Education admission is conducted based on merit in qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, as will be decided by the state government or UT administration. Admission in the D.El.Ed. course generally calls for pass in 10+2 or equivalent qualification from a recognised board.
