About Dayanand College of Pharmacy, Latur

Dayanand College of Pharmacy was established in the year 2009 at Latur in the state of Maharashtra. Affiliated to the Pharmacy Council of India, DCOP has, since, emerged as an important hub for various programmes in pharmaceutical education. The campus, compactly spread over an area of 2.5 acres, has successfully created a name in the field of pharmacy education. The total student enrolment is 416, and its gender distribution shows an almost equal number of male and female students, to be precise: 177 boys and 239 girls. DCOP offers 6 courses at 3 different degrees having expertise in all related matters of the pharmacy field, i.e.: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance.

Dayanand College of Pharmacy holds the aim of offering students good learning atmosphere with state-of-the-art facilities. The DCOP has well-equipped laboratories for Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacognosy, wherein students get hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced faculty. The library, being a knowledge hub, is stocked with more than 9,284 books and 16 national and international journals, thus providing the students with a lot of resource materials. For technology-driven learning, the DCOP maintains a computer laboratory with internet access and specialised language lab software to help students improve their English language skills. It also emphasises physical fitness and has sports facilities for various games like volleyball, football, and cricket.

DCOP offers different levels of courses in pharmacy: 2 undergraduate courses, 4 postgraduate courses, and a diploma programme. Bachelor of Pharmacy is a full-time course of 4 years with 60 seats. A Diploma in Pharmacy is a 2-year programme with the same number of seats as above. At the postgraduate level, it runs M.
