CEM is a self-financing Engineering college situated at Munnar, the land of Rolling Hills, established in the year of 2000, Kerala. This affiliated college, having permission from All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), imparts an array of engineering courses on it’s campus which is scattered over 26 acres. Currently, CEM offers courses to 450 student Ist year students and has a faculty of 30 members to impart a concentrated education. In total, the college provides 7 courses for two degrees and focuses on different forms of engineering.

College of Engineering Munnar has made provision for several facilities that are useful for the students. The campus has sectioned hostels, and both the boys and girls’ hostels provide out-station students’ comfortable accommodation. Sports lovers are also encouraged take advantage of the college infrastructural facilities in sporting disciplines in order to balance between studies and games. Technical enfranchisement is sufficiently equipped with 30 computers and other specific software skills in technical learning. Student’s resource centre in the form of a library occupying 470 sq. m area on three floors includes more than 11,700 books, print and electronic journals and databases. There is also college canteen which provides meals which are very affordable after subsidization by a team comprising of members of staff and students. As for an academic and recreational use, the college offers transport facilities where buses operate within Munnar town up to the students’ and staffs’ residences.
College of Engineering, Munnar has isolated different engineering courses to help students to find their interest in engineering courses. The institute scans offer 7 courses for their students, of which some are under graduate level and some are post graduate level. At the undergraduate level, CEM offers only full time B.Tech programmes in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
