Chourasiya Mahavidyalaya Katangi an affiliated College was set up in the year 2007 and is located at Degwa Katangi, District – Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. This is a co-educational institution, recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) meaning that the institute pays much attention to quality teacher training. Located on a barely three-acre land area, the college has a total of 85 enrolment, faculty 8 members. Chourasiya Mahavidyalaya provides only one course-teacher education and has a reasonable student-faculty ratio that facilitates students to get the desired attention and counselling.

Chourasiya Mahavidyalaya currently offers one full-time course: The Bachelor of Education commonly referred to as (B. Ed). The curriculum of this degree is to provide education to future teachers about what they may face later in their careers. The college has an approved capacity of 100 students for the B.Ed programme and hence the capacity to produce a good number of future educators in a year.
