The Chandra Sekhar College, Keonjhar which was established in the year 1977 is an affiliated college situated in Champua, Keonjhar Odisha. Located along the national main artery, the N.H.T 45 this institute has provided educational services for the community for the past forty years. This college is affiliated to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council also known as NAAC  which endorses quality education. Located in a 25 acre of land, the Chandra Sekhar College provides abundant facilities for the comprehensive development of the students. As of now, the college has 985 students in total and has a faculty of 24 members the college has excellent student faculty ratio thus making courses more personal and effective.

They have enhanced the general learning process through several facilities within Chandra Sekhar College. A library with adequate stocks is the heart of knowledge, which has a stock of different reference books, text books and periodicals. The reading room is specially designed for reading and especially for those who prefer serious concentration. The bestowing conference hall for 120 people is designed to organise serious discussions, knowledge exchange and academic meetings. Chandra Sekhar College offers three undergraduate programmes: These include; Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), and BA Economics (Honours). These are all full time courses which take three years per course to complete. BA programme has the highest admission capacity of 256 and second is B.Sc with 128. In total enrollment of students across all courses is 985 making the college a significant contributor to higher learning in the region. Lacking specific graduation data of the latest year, however, the enrollment statistics show that the college is churning out graduates each year.

At Chandra Sekhar College, admission is, therefore, based on performance, therefore being a merit College. Candidates who wish to apply for the seats of the BA Economics (Honours) is determined by the marks obtained in the Common Admission Test besides the academic performance. The college sorts the form-four leaver in terms of performance and, the desire of the applicant to do an Honours subject. The Chandra Sekhar College also has hostel for the male students where they can live safely and that would be cheaper. Scholars clarified that the hostel without fail accommodates undergraduate students from different parts of the state, particularly from the Jharkhand and the Mayurbhanj district as well as those hailing from distance up to fifty kilometers in Keonjhar district.
