Center for Creative Arts and Design, Jain University, Bengaluru Admission
CCAD nurtures the ever-sought souls whose talent presumably springs up from within with that rare quality: a passion for the arts. Therefore, the institute conducts its own entrance examination called the Jain Entrance Test or JET, which is solely for admission.
Jain Entrance Test (JET) is a holistic evaluation of the creativity and potential of test candidates. It consists of three major components.
- Written test: This assesses general knowledge and analytical skills as well as creative thinking capabilities of the candidate.
- Group Discussion: This assesses the verbal communication, teamwork, and leadership potential of a candidate.
- Personal Interview: This allows the admissions committee to assess the applicant’s passion for their chosen field, portfolio (if applicable), and overall suitability for the program.
Under these criteria, generally, an assessment is made as to the eligibility of an aspirant for one of the CCAD programs wherein the students had completed 10+2 from a recognized Board. While the particularities of academic criteria might differ widely with the program of choice, a strong background in subjects pertinent to their choice is usually preferred.
Application Process
1. Online Application: The candidates selected under a program must visit the official CCAD website to fill out the respective online application form.
2. Payment of Application Fee: Pay the corresponding application fee via the available direct online methods.
3. Document Submission: Upload scanned copies of required documents, including
- Marksheet of 10th and 12th standard
- Current passport-size photograph
- Current ID proof
- Any other certificates or portfolios required for the specific chosen program.
4. Entrance Examination (JET): The candidate shall register for the Jain Entrance Test to be held on the date so notified.
5. Written Test: Successfully take the written part of the Entrance Test, JET, which will measure general knowledge, analytical reasoning, and creative thinking.
6. Group Discussion: Participate in group discussion, displaying communication and teamwork skills.
7. Personal Interview: Attend the personal interview where it may be important to display your portfolio (if required), discuss your aspirations, and the extent of your readiness for the program concerned.
8. Results and Admission Offers: After results are announced, candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria will be offered admission into CCAD.
