Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College Bangalore (BCWCC) is one of the acclaimed institutions for women in Bangalore which has yeast planted since 1985. It is an affiliated college located in the heart of Bangalore city and it’s total area is 2 acres of land providing a congenial atmosphere for the students and faculty. Being NAAC accredited, BCWCC has all along endeavored to provide quality education for women. Currently there are several courses offered in the college with 10 being in 8 different degree programmes serving 1,232 students and facilitated by 40 faculty members. Showing the concern of BCWCC in offering all rounded Trainees, the institute offers courses of study in Commerce, Computer Application, Business Administration, Psychology, English, Nutrition and Dietetics amongst others.
A number of facilities are developed and availed to improve learning facilities in the college. The library, a store house of knowledge, contains more than 18000 books, 40 journals, 10 magazines to help the student. It is partially mechanised with bar coded books so as to get quick result the information required. To the sports enthusiasts there is a well spiced up training camp for all sports requires to be featured with training facilities which include volleyball, basketball, cricket and athletics. This college has produced many achievers proficient at state, national and international levels of achievement. Campus is Wi-Fi enabled and this gives the student several means through which they can get information from the internet without coming into the class.
At the present, Bishop Cotton Women’s Christian College, affiliated by Bengaluru City University, Bengaluru, is providing a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to suit different learners’ specialty. There are 10 courses offered by the college that can be both full time and part time. - Girls Hostel
The college hostel has a capacity for the accommodation of 90 girls. Students who wish to stay in the college hostel are accommodated on a 2, 3, or 4-sharing basis. They are looked after under the care of an experienced house warden who is accessible and caters to their needs. To ensure that the students left in our care by their parents are kept occupied in healthy activities, the hostel has provided recreational facilities so that the girls may involve themselves in sports and games. Indoor and outdoor facilities for games and sports are made available for those students who are interested in sports. A healthy and hygienic environment is maintained so that the hostellers enjoy their stay in the institution. In the event that a student is ill and in need of medical attention, they are immediately referred to the CSI Hospital, which is managed by the college management.
- Library
The College library has over 18000 books, 40 journals & periodicals & 10 magazines for the users. The Library is partially automated, and all the books are bar-coded. There is an improved collection of printed general knowledge resources for competitive exams. There is a display of signboards to help users to locate books in the library. The library has an Open Access System.
- Sports
The college provides rigorous training for students who are interested in sports. A whole range of sporting activities, including Volley Ball, Throw Ball, Basket Ball, Cricket, Foot Ball, Tennis, Shuttle cork, Gymnasium, and Athletics are encouraged at college. The college has produced a number of achievers at the State, National, and International levels. Through the college, students gain openings to a host of opportunities in every sporting event at the state, national and international levels.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
- Cafeteria
The College Cafeteria is a large, open area where we find students gathering to satisfy their appetites. Made up of well-spaced seating arrangements, the cafeteria is the favorite spot for the students who hang out during breaks to catch up with friends, placate their grumbling stomachs, and write notes and assignments. It is spacious and airy and boasts two counters that serve hot, tasty, and hygienically prepared meals and snacks. The college is particularly careful about the items that are sold to the students and staff. The cafeteria, therefore, provides freshly cooked food items and almost no junk food. The spread is a mix that caters to the culinary interest of both North and South Indian foodies.

- Banks/ATMs
The college provides Union Bank deputes one of its bank officials to cater to the needs of students and staff on our campus. The Bank is located in a quiet and serene spot on the campus to ensure smooth functioning. This facility provides staff, parents, and their wards easy access to the bank’s facilities. The college also has an ATM machine on campus that is easily accessible to all.
- Parking Facility
The college has two or four-wheelers being towed away is a daily risk. This causes a loss of time and disrupted schedules. To reduce the anxiety amongst staff and students caused by issues regarding parking, the college ensures that vehicular parking areas are demarcated to provide safe parking for both students and faculty. The parking lot for faculty members is manned by efficient support staff. The students are allowed to park their two-wheelers within the college campus. Though we are located in the heart of the city, our green campus sets aside parking areas to meet the challenge of parking space that students and staff would otherwise encounter.
- Auditorium
The college conducts several seminars and conferences throughout the academic year. For this important aspect of higher education, the college has a multi-facility Seminar Hall. It has a seating capacity of 500 and is well-equipped with audio-visual aids. The Seminar hall is regularly available for all the departments to host guest lectures and run high-end panel discussions. The various departments organize seminars, colloquiums, and conferences. They run academic and creative workshops and cultural activities all year round.
- Convenience Store
The college runs a compact and well-stocked stationery shop on its campus. The stationary shop allows students to order their textbooks which are then accessed by the shop personnel from bookstores. This proves a boon to students who can then buy the textbooks prescribed on their syllabi right here on campus. When in need students have been known to place bulk orders for textbooks, which are then brought to the stationery store. All other essential stationery items from notebooks, to assignment books, to erasers and pens, are made available for the students’ use.
