Bharata Mata College better known as BMC was started in the year 1965 It is one of the premier institutions situated in Thrikkakara Kochi Kerala. This affiliated college which occupies a total of 20.5 acres of land has been imparting higher education for last more than five decades. BMC is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) it has 28 courses in 10 degrees. In total enrolment of 2,621 and faculty of 127, the college has a favourable student faculty ratio. The college do have basic amenities that. Moreover, they are accessible to students unlike in other colleges, like the lift which we students ourself can use. There are facilities like the hostel accomadation for women which needs to be developed. The library isn’t well stocked which needs to updation though there is digital library were we can access books. Itbhas smart board facilities and most of then are well maintained. The college is also modest when it comes to cleanliness.

The best department as far as from my experience in BMC would be the English department. Arts is also much better than Bsc programs. The teachers have a good qualification though at times they lack skills to understand students. Hence, it depends on which course you take.
