Lourdes Mount College of Engineering and Technology (LMCET) was started in the academic year 2013 located at Mullanganavilai, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu. This is a co-educational institution that occupies large area of land of 10 acres and is an affiliated college under AICTE. Overall, LMCET delivers five multiple courses of engineering under 1 degree. Out of 300 the total student intake is 251, hence the student to teacher ratio is good for focused learning. Since its commencement, the college has developed several facility which are aimed to complement the course delivery for students. The library spread across an area of approximately 450 square meters contains a number of professional scientific books in Science, Engineering, and Humanities. There is also a better gym for the health and fitness freaks at LMCET. This college has a health center to enhance the general well being of students with first aid services. There are recommended fun exercises that people interested in sports can undertake thus ensuring that they balance their time with education is balanced. The growth of the Infrastructure in IT at LMCET is strong, which implies that the students are updated with the modern information technology. Bio: A Canteen with large capacity is available in the college having Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food arrangement separately for boys and girls. It also has a facility for holding events such as seminars and an auditorium, boost the colleges cultural facilities.
In all, LMCET provides the students with five full time courses in Bachelor of Engineering also referred as BE for full time option in the field of engineering. The total intake which has been approved for all these courses is two hundred and ten seats. Such courses are taught in order to equip the learners with the knowledge from their respective fields to enable them lay a good foundation in the increasing technology market.

According to the government of Tamil Nadu’s rule and regulation the Management Quota is allowed with 35% of percentage for admissions. LMCET is also an admission center that takes first year, freshmen admitting students into first semester B.E programmes and participate in second semester admission for students joining mid semester, second year.
