About Al Ameen College of Education, Bangalore

Al-Ameen College of Education, Bangalore was started in 1990, is a reputed college offering B. Ed., a professional’s degree in teacher education. Situated right opposite the Lalbagh Main Gate, this affiliated college was founded with the objective of producing quality educators for more than thirty years. The newly established college occupies a small area of 3.36 acres allowing for a concentrated learning process for prospective teachers. Al-Ameen is proudly among the selected institution recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) thus offering quality education in consonance to the standards set in the country. The college presently occupies 94 students and the strength of 7 teaching faculties, so there is an adequate faculty student ratio for providing undivided attention to each learner.

Al-Ameen College of Education has state of the art facilities in place and these a few; This is a knowledge centre par excellence with full Internet connection, Web OPAC, In-Flint, and membership of the British library. It contains new arrivals, the most recent domestic and foreign publications, electronic journals, and specialty references, in addition to a research library. As for practical assignments, there are ample laboratories within the college to cater with different departments’ requirement.

Al-Ameen College of Education currently offers one primary course, the common program that is widely known as the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This postgraduate course is a two-year, full-time course aims at producing qualified teachers. The college has an approved bed capacity of fifty for this programme which is an indication of the college’s commitment to only admit and enrol quality students through regulated intakes. This kind of approach provides ample training and enables graduate student nonteeming by the faculty so that graduating students are ready to face the emerging demands in the education sector.
