Guru Gobind Singh Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) has officially released GGSIPU spot round instructions for candidates who secured seats in Spot Round-2. The guidelines were issued under Notification No. 262/2025 on August 20, 2025.
According to the GGSIPU spot round instructions, candidates will not be able to submit their Willingness (Float/Freeze) in their logins. Instead, every student allotted a seat in Spot Round-2 must complete physical reporting at their respective colleges. This applies not only to first-time allottees but also to students who received upgraded seats or new college allotments.
Fee Payment and Reporting Requirements
The university has made it mandatory for students to pay the Part Academic Fee and complete physical reporting within the given deadline. The payable fee stands at ₹96,000 or ₹60,000, depending on the course. Both fee payment and reporting are compulsory to achieve the “admitted” status.
As highlighted in the GGSIPU spot round instructions, upgraded candidates must pay an additional Demand Draft of ₹5,000. These students had earlier secured seats in online rounds and completed reporting but are now required to submit this draft. The draft should be made in favor of Registrar, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, payable at Delhi, and must be submitted during physical reporting.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to pay the Part Academic Fee or complete reporting will lead to immediate seat cancellation. In such cases, students will also lose their claim over previously allotted seats.
Moreover, the GGSIPU spot round instructions clearly state that non-compliant candidates will not be considered for any further seat allotment under the current admission cycle. Their candidature will stand forfeited without the possibility of reinstatement. This means that students who fail to report on time or make the required payments will be permanently disqualified from Spot Round-2 admissions, even if seats remain vacant later.
Additionally, such students will not be eligible for refunds of previously deposited amounts (where applicable), as the university treats non-reporting as voluntary withdrawal. Hence, candidates are strongly advised to adhere to deadlines and instructions without delay to secure their admission.
Official Directive
The Director Incharge (Academic) issued these guidelines, while the Incharge-UITS has been instructed to upload the notification. Additionally, the Public Relations Officer has been directed to widely disseminate the information among stakeholders.
