College is accepting 100 candidates for its Bachelor of Education programme, and admission to the B.Ed. course is based on merit, taking into consideration marks in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination. Candidates with a graduation or post-graduation degree in relevant subjects can apply for the B.Ed. programme.

The D.Ed. programme has 50 seats at Rao B.Ed. College. Just like in the case of B.Ed, the D.Ed programme is merit-based, selecting students based on their scores in qualifying examinations and/or entrance examinations. Candidates that passed their higher secondary education (10+2) may generally apply for the D.Ed. programme.
