The Regional College of Nursing, situated at Guwahati was founded in 1977 and today it becomes the pride of Assam in terms of nursing education. This cost has been functioning with highest glory from Narakasur Hill, Guwahati as a premier institution imparting education in health care sector for more than four decadent. Recognised by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), the college provides a number of nursing courses at the basic and master’s levels.

In all Regional College of Nursing, Guwahati offers a total of six courses of which two courses are at degree level. The premier programme is the four-year B. Sc in Nursing course offered to 60 students every year. The college offers, at postgraduate level the following five specific M.Sc Nursing programmes with an intake capacity of 5 students each. These are M.Sc in Medical Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing and Community Health Nursing. All the courses are full time in compliance with the nursing college’s intensive, hands on approach to education.
