Shri Pillappa College of Engineering (SPCE) is one of the top engineering colleges in Karnataka. The admission process of the college is well organized for all aspiring engineers. It accepts scores of two prominent entrance tests for admission, namely the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test (COMEDK UGET) and the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET). Almost the entire admission cycle begins with COMEDK UGET, which has been scheduled for May 09, 2025. It is conducted online, allowing students to apply across several engineering programs in SPCE.

For admission to the engineering programs offered by SPCE, the candidate must have passed his or her 10+2, or equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects. Admission to courses is subject to criteria set by authorities with respect to marks in the examination and performance required in the specified entrance examinations. For COMEDK UGET, students need to refer to the website that provides the eligibility criteria defined under COMEDK. In the same manner, candidates should refer to the official KCET website for KCET eligibility.

Application Process

In order to apply in Shri Pillappa College of Engineering, these steps had to be undertaken by the candidate:

1. Appearance for COMEDK UGET or KCET: Candidates ought to register and appear for either of these entrance examinations.

2. Application for COMEDK UGET:

• Visit the official COMEDK
• Complete the online application form
• Upload attested copies of requisite documents
• Pay the application fee
• Submit the application.

3. Application for KCET:

• Visit the official KCET site
• Fill the online application form and
• Upload supporting documents
• Pay prescribed application fees
• Submit the form. 

4. Counselling Process: After the declaration of results of the entrance exams, qualified candidates would be called for counseling based on rank in these entrance exams.

5. Document Verification: During counselling, successful candidates would be required to produce original documents for verification processes including:

• Mark sheets of X and XII grades.
• Entrance Examination Score Card
• Category certificates (where applicable).
• Domicile certificate (if required).

6. Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted depending on the rank of the candidate, the preferences assigned, and availability.

7. Fee Payment: Payment would have to be made by candidates for placing admissions to their seats on allotment.

8. Reporting to College: Post completion of all previously mentioned steps, the candidates will be reporting to Shri Pillappa College of Engineering on the specified date along with all original documents for effecting finalization and completion of admission process.

Degree wise Admission Process:

B.E/B. Tech: Shri Pillappa College of Engineering has conducted and offers admission in four full-time Bachelor of Engineering programs. The admission procedure for the above programs will be on the merits acquired by candidates in COMEDK UGET or KCET. The following are the courses along with their respective intake capacities:

1. BE in Computer Science and Engineering: 120
2. BE in Electronics & Communication Engineering: 60
3. BE in Civil Engineering: 60
4. BE in Mechanical Engineering: Admission capacity not mentioned. 

The candidates need to complete 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects while applying for these courses. Based on merit rank compiled through the scores of COMEDK UGET or KCET, candidates will then go through a counseling process before admission.
