Sanjay Gandhi College of Education, Bangalore Baiyappanahalli Main Road Cholanagar RT Nagar Post Bangalore Karnataka is a teacher education institution that was started in 1980. This co-educational institute, located on a compact area of 0.74996 acres, aims at shaping future educators. This college is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council NAAC and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). It is an affiliated college with Bengaluru City University and places great importance on quality teacher education. Currently, the college has 89 students and 11 faculty members, which has a conducive environment for intending teachers.

Sanjay Gandhi College of Education focuses primarily on teacher education, offering a single full-time course: the programme of specialisations leading to the award of the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). This two-year program has an approved intake of one hundred (100) students, which the college has ensured to keep small enough to maintain a good student-teacher ratio for successful delivery of the programme. The courseworkof a B.Ed. is aimed at developing teachers who shall become effective teachers upon the completion of their class.
