It has about 616.83 Sq Meters of carpet area and is capable of accommodating 1000 students at a time to carry out any kind of academic activity such as reading books and journals, computer programming, software development, etc.
It’s fully linked with the internet and intranet. All students, faculty members, and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The center has a wide collection of the latest books and journals (international and national). It has subscriptions to various national and international journals in print. The KGI Library has tried to build more than 5000 collections of books on science and technology including chemistry, mathematics, physics, computer science, Information Technology, Electrical Instrumentation, and electronics engineering. Besides, Library also has a good collection in the areas of Management, humanities and social science, etc.
The collection comprises mainly books, current journals, Bound volumes, project reports, audio cassettes, CD-ROMs, Floppies, etc. The collection is heavily used by the faculty, students, and research scholars. - I.T Infrastructure

All computers are enabled to access the Internet through high-speed (MBPS) leased lines, and students can take full advantage of the net for enhancing their knowledge. Besides this, there is a continuous addition of all software products. The Institute has centralized computing facilities with over 400 Computers for high-end programming and Internet surfing. The availability of a 10Mbps (pure) Internet connection along with Wi-Fi connectivity has made a significant contribution to the usability of the computer center.
